Ashanti Douglas, popularly called Ashanti and was born in Glen Cove New York United States on 13th October 1980. She's a performer and an actress from her native United States. Ashanti appeared the same day on The Fat Joe's What's Luv? the song "What's love?" by Fat Joe and Ja Rule, entitled Always on Time are both massive hits. When she released"What's Luv which ranked at the second spot at the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at #1 featuring Foolish as her first single, she became the only female artist to accomplish this feat. She became the first female artist to have both the highest two positions on the American Billboard Hot 100 With Foolish as number one, and then What's Love?
